The design collective Ilot Ilov, made up of Ania Bauer and Jacob Brinck, looks for new interpretations of utility implements and daily artefacts.
Ilot Ilov managed a coup with a lampshade encased in rope, called “Matt” – this piece made the designers well-known practically overnight. To enhance our daily life in aesthetic terms is the expectation the collective sets itself. Questions of materiality and experimental combinations thereof represent the basis of their endeavours. Their objects walk the line from functional applicability to sculptural decoration. In its Berliner studio near the Kottbusser Damm the team around Ilot Ilov carries out interior projects, designs furniture collections and makes refreshingly idiosyncratic home accessories.
